509th PIR (Bullion) Pocket Patch

Description

Extremely well-made reproduction of the private purchase patch for the 509th Parachute Infantry Regiment. Pocket patches were applied to M41 jackets, jump jackets or flight jackets, usually on the left breast.

Not worn on combat uniforms!

Regimental pocket patches were usually applied to secondary jackets (like “tanker” or privately-purchased flight jackets); sewn to the left breast.

Bullion patches must be hand sewn to the uniform- the presser foot of the sewing machines will damage the wire. We do not offer hand sewing service.
