Reproduction WWII Aviator’s Kit Bag. These were general purpose carrying bags used by aircrews and paratroopers to haul their uniforms and equipment. Our bags are manufactured by us, in the USA. All components are American made except the Talon zippers (no one makes zippers here anymore.)
The canvas is heavy number 8 100% cotton duck, custom dyed and finished to match original WWII olive drab shade 3 fabric. The webbing is shuttle loomed and yarn dyed, in the same widths and weaves as the WWII material. Our markings are screened with water based ink and heat cured, and the Scovil snaps are the same zinc plated models used on Jump uniforms. The bag is closed via two Solid brass Talon brand zippers.
Note: These bags hold a helluva lot of stuff. When I was in the Army, we were easily able to pack our entire MC1-1 parachutes & harness (after landing) inside with room to spare, and the kit bag in the photos above is packed with four German parka sets, 2 tunics and a pair of winter combat trousers. And there is room for more. An entire impression will easily fit inside.
Care: Hand clean & air dry only! Machine washing and/ or dryers will cause shrinkage and damage to hardware.
