Type II M1 Carbine Pouch

Description

Reproduction of the Type II magazine pouch for the M1 Carbine. Production of these began in 1943 and continued through the Korean War. In contrast to the Type I pouches, these have a reinforced front, eyelets at the bottom to attach the Carlisle pouch (or other gear) and belt loops on the rear rather than the entire pouch being constructed like a sleeve. The loops are wide enough to fit a pistol belt or trouser belt.

These hold 2 of the 15 round magazines for M1 Carbines. They are not tall enough for the 30rd magazines.

This model of pouch was present in the ETO by 1944 and was used until the end of the War. Both OD3 (“khaki”) and OD7 (“OD green”) models were produced.

Note! There is no way whatsoever to mount this on the buttstock of a carbine! This is only made to be worn on a belt.
